About me

I’m Sarah, a former professional dancer turned Pilates instructor.

My journey started, like a lot of little girls, by going to ballet class when I was five years old. At sixteen I was studying full-time to become a dancer, first at the Urdang Academy on a scholarship and then to London Contemporary Dance School where I graduated with a diploma in contemporary dance and choreography. Working as a professional dancer took me all around the world and, when I settled in one place, I became an aerobics and step aerobics instructor to keep my body moving.

As I grew older I turned to yoga and Pilates to stay strong and in shape and, ultimately, decided to train again, this time with *BASI, a world-renowned leader in Pilates education.

Like many instructors I took my classes online during lockdown and haven’t looked back. The convenience of exercising at home, going straight into class with no travel time, and a lovely cup of tea in your own kitchen right after is wonderful. You can do it in your pyjamas if you want to, with your faithful feline or canine by your side!

Fun and laughter are a big part of what I do. As is the camaraderie of the class; everyone is simultaneously together in the ‘Zoom Room’ and in the comfort of their own home.

My focus is on you being with YOUR body, working with what you’ve got and how you’re feeling on any given day. My post-menopausal body feels fitter and more flexible. I’m able to do all the activities I enjoy, such as long hikes, gardening and dancing.

So start spending a little time with your body, exploring its potential right now.

Send me a message and let’s have a chat about how we’re going to get you feeling longer and stronger, meaner and keener and utterly more fabulous!
